Our platform

Theses pages will help you get started with Pay. Understanding our platform and API structure.

Since processing payments is the most important part in the checkout process we have create a multi core platform that contains:

  • Transaction Gateway units (TGU's); processing payments is done in one of our Transaction Gateway Unit(TGU) systems
  • Global Management System (GMS); all other activities related to payment processing. E.g. refunds, reporting on payments, changing settings for payment processing, insights in payouts and invoicing etc) is done in our Global Management System(GMS)

We try (of course) to achieve high availability on our total platform, but processing payments involves a lot of parties. If one of those parties is unavailable there is a chance that the transaction will be aborted. We route transactions through different channels, multiple processors and acquirers. But to limit the impact of a disruption we suggest that in the most important part of the checkout process (the payment processing) at least two or more of our TGU's can be selected by your integration.
