In this section we will explain the steps needed to connect your account to Shopify.

Set-up

Installation & configuration

You can easily install the app via an installation URL. Have your credentials ready.

  1. Click on one of the installation URL's below and hit Install (login if needed)
  2. Fill in the following details:
  3. Token-Code (AT-xxxx-xxxx)
  4. API-token (a3e314ee...)
  5. Service-ID ((SL-xxxx-xxxx))
  6. Click Save
  7. Now click on Activate to activate the app

The app is now visible in the Payment menu under Settings > Payments and under Apps.

You have now successfully connected your Pay. account to Shopify

Releases

Not applicable; Shopify is a hosted solution. You do not need to install external software. Simply connect to the app (which is hosted by Pay.) and you are ready to go.

Features

Refunds

  1. Go to Orders and select the order you would like to refund
  2. Click Refund
  3. Now select the products you would like to refund or enter an amount manually. Tick the checkbox if you want to restock items
  4. Click on** Refund €[amount]**

Shopify does not support refunds initiated from Pay. admin.

Capture (BNPL)

Capturing manually

  1. Go to Orders and select the order you would like to capture
  2. Click on Capture payment
  3. Capture the full order or manually enter an amount and click on** Accept €[amount]**

If you would like to automate this, see Shopify Flow below.

To process partial captures, your capture settings in Shopify have to be set to Manual Capture under Settings > Payments > Payment capture method > Manage.

Capture via Shopify Flow

If you have access to Shopify Flow, it is possible to add automated workflows. For example, to automatically capture a transaction after a shipment has been created.

Install Shopify Flow

  1. Click here to open the app in the Shopify app store
  2. Click Install
  3. Shopify Flow is now visible directly in your backend or via Apps

Ensure capture settings are set to Manual

  1. Go to Settings > Payments > **Payment Capture Method **> Manage
  2. Select Manually
  3. Click Save

Add workflow

  1. Go to Flow > Workflows > Create Workflow
  2. Click on Select a trigger
  3. On the right, search for Fulfillment and click on **Fulfillment created ** to add this trigger to your workflow
  4. Click the '+' sign > Action to add a follow-up action
  5. On the right, search for Capture and click on *Capture payment** to add this action to your workflow
  6. When done, click Turn on workflow > **Turn on **
  7. Click Exit
  8. Under Workflows you can see your active workflows
  9. Under History you can see the workflows that have run

Business Orders

Certain payment methods, like Biller, can only be used with B2B orders. We recommend enabling the following settings if you are processing B2B orders:

  1. Go to Settings > Checkout > Customer information
  2. Select the relevant option for the Company name field:
  3. Don't include - don't show in checkout
  4. Optional - show in checkout but not required
  5. Required - show in checkout and required
  6. Click Save to save your changes

Translations

Shopify has many features depending on your Shopify Plan.

The basic translations for the App itself, are managed via the App Developer.

If you are a Shopify Plus customer you have full control of your checkout translations with UI extensions with localisation capabilities.

Error Message Definitions
